| Annie |
Annie is a sweet fawn female. She comes to us from a local shelter where she had been picked up from the streets so we don't know her history. We estimate she is about 8 years old. She is in good health though she does require drops to one eye for "dry eye" - her vision is just fine. She has been spayed, microchipped and brought up to date on her vaccinations. She also had an umbilical hernia removed but that won't cause any further issues.
Annie is a very calm, serene girl. She is very friendly and loves to be loved on, but she is not an excitable gal. She prefers to sit back and relax. She is housebroken and gets on well with other animals. If you are looking for a true lap dog/couch potato, Annie might well be your girl!
| Asia |
Asia is a sweet fawn female. She is an owner surrender due to family changes along with her "sister" Hillary. She is already spayed and is current on her vaccinations. She is 6 years old and in good health except for being a big too "fluffy." She is now on a diet to help her lose some weight before the heat of summer.
Asia is housebroken and is very used to being in a home with a doggie door. She does great with other dogs as well as kids. She is a playful, sweet girl who loves to cuddle.
| Blu |
Say hello to Blu. He is an 8 year old fawn male. This cutie came to us from a local shelter, so we do not know his history. However, we do know that nobody has been looking after him. He has bad hips and degenerative discs in his spine, though that does not slow him down. He has poor vision and a severe entropion eyelid (which can be corrected with surgery.) He has been neutered, microchipped and brought up to date on his vaccinations as well as having some dental work.
We have high hopes for Blu. He is quite a spirited puggie. The difference in him between when he was brought in from the shelter and now is remarkable - he is so lively and happy. We just know that with continued care he is going to blossom. Meanwhile, he has shown us that he has quite a playful side and loves to play with toys. He is also very good at snuggles and cuddles. This little guy is going to make someone a fantastic companion!
| Bosley |
Bosley is an adorable fawn male with a distinguished touch of gray to his face. We estimate he is about 10 years old. This poor little guy was found wandering the streets all alone. How someone could have let go of this sweetie-pie is a mystery! Bosley has been neutered, microchipped, brought up to date on his vaccinations and given a full teeth cleaning. He is in very good health except for a bit of arthritis in his left hip.
Bosley is a wonderful little guy. He is very well mannered, housebroken and knows basic commands. He gets along beautifully with other dogs as well as children. However, his sole purpose in life is to get you to rub his belly! This guy will drop on his back in a heartbeat to get that rubbin'! He is a very happy, social guy who has a lot of zest for life. If you love the seniors, but want one that doesn't act like an old fogey, then Bosley just might be your fella!

| Champ |
Meet Champ. Just look at that face! He is an adorable fawn male - though he isn't looking his best right now. Champ is suffering from some skin issues that have left his coat looking pretty sad. However, he is getting treatment and should clear soon. Once his fur grows back we just know he is going to be one handsome fellow.
Champ came to us from a local animal shelter. He is current on his vaccinations and microchipped. He is moderately heartworm positive and will start treatment soon. He is 2 years old, though everyone thinks he is a puppy because he is so active and playful. It's so nice to see that even though he has obviously had a pretty rough time of it, he still is a happy, friendly fellow who loves people.
| China |
China is a sweet fawn female. She is 10 years old. She was an owner surrender through no fault of her own. China has several medical issues and is on medical hold until we can get her sorted out. She is currently suffering from a severe ear infection, bladder infection and skin infection. She was coated with fleas and had scratched herself until her skin was raw and infected. She also has a yeast infection to her skin. In addition, her eyes were severely crusted due to not being kept moist for quite some time. She has undergone extensive eye washes and received drops and ointment to clean her eyes. Though her eyesight is severely limited, she does appear to see shapes and light. Her other infections are being treated with antibiotics and will clear in time.
Poor little China Doll is a sweetheart of a girl. She is settling in nicely with her foster siblings and really starting to come out of her shell. She would do best in a home with other dogs. She recently lost her littermate that had been her constant companion these past 10 years, so she has never been alone. She loves nothing more than being held. We know that once she is nursed back to health she is going to make a fantastic companion for some lucky person.
| Cole |
Cole is a sweet black male. He is 2 years old. Cole originally came from a breeder's facility but has been staying with a Good Samaritan who decided we could take the best care of him. It doesn't look like he has had a very good life so far. He is pretty skinny for a pug and has an injured eye. We don't know yet the extent of his eye injury but we have started him on medications to soothe the irritation and help him feel better. He is severely heartworm positive and was also suffering from intestinal worms and a flea infestation. Now that he has been cleared of the intestinal worms and fleas, he will begin his heartworm treatment.
Cole is a very sweet boy who seems to understand that we want to help him. He is already feeling 100 times better and that is evident by his big goofy grin! Why, he's even allowing his foster Mom to dress him up with a scarf - so obviously he's a pretty easy-going fella.
| Diego |
Diego is an adorable fawn male. He is 4 years old and an owner surrender. Diego had been adopted from a local shelter several months ago, but his new home didn't work out so now he is with us. He has just finished heartworm treatment and will have a re-check to make sure he is heartworm negative in a couple of months. Meanwhile, he has tested positive for tapeworms and whipworms. He is receiving medication for those and should be clear soon. He is also suffering from pneumonia but is on medication for that as well.
Diego is a sweetheart of a boy who is a bit shy when first meeting people. Once he feels he can trust you he is quite a cuddler! He also does very well with other dogs and children. This little guy has been through a lot and is ready for his new life with a family who will love him and never let him go.
| Dottie |
Dottie comes to us from a local shelter. She is a senior fawn female, though we are not sure of her age. One things for sure though, Dottie has been through quite an ordeal in her life. She came to us with difficulty walking on both of her rear legs. X-rays revealed old fractures to both sides of her pelvis (probably from being struck by a car) that have never been treated as well as some nerve damage. She also has a BB gun pellet lodged in her back, though this does not appear to be currently causing her any problems. But with rest and TLC this girl has made an amazing recovery.
When Dottie first came to us we believed she was nearly blind. However, she has proved us wrong. Though she has some vision impairment, this girl can definitely see! She follows people and other pugs just fine and can play with them best of them.
It is amazing that despite all of the trauma that Dottie has been through, she is a loving girl. She enjoys human contact and cuddles and has quite a bit of puggie spirit in her.
| Emmitt |
Emmett is a sweet fawn male. He is 14 years old and comes to us from a local shelter. Poor little Emmett has some medical issues which are currently being treated by our Vet. He is blind, though his sense of smell seems to work just fine! He is currently suffering from a really bad ear infection, though that should clear with proper medications. He also seems to have some skin issues but that too should clear with appropriate medicatioins. He will also be having a dental soon as his breath is pretty awful. He has been neutered and microchipped and is current on his vaccinations. He is heartworm negative and has been started on preventative.
Emmett is a pretty easy-going fellow. He is sweet and seems to like people. We just know that once he gets to feeling better he is going to make some a wonderful companion.
| Faith |
Faith is a sweet fawn female, approximately 1 1/2 years old. She came to us from a local shelter, so we do not know anything about her past. However, it looks like it was pretty sad. She has had to have her left eye removed as it was in such bad condition. She has been spayed. She is current on all of her vaccinations and has been microchipped. She is housebroken and would do well in a home with a doggy door.
Faith is really in need of some human affection and loves to be doted upon. She is a sweet little girl who gets along very well with children. She enjoys going for walks and playing with kiddies. She is a wonderful girl who would do very well in a home with children.
| Franklin |
Franklin is an adorable black male. He came to us from a local shelter so we don't know his story. But we do know he hasn't been cared for in quite some time. We estimate he is around 10 years old. He has already been neutered. He is current on his vaccinations and heartworm negative. He does have one missing eye and needs drops in his remaining one, so his vision is somewhat impaired. He does have a couple of mast cell tumors that will need to be removed and we will probably do that when he has his dental cleaning done. He is currently suffering from an ear infection but is on medication so that should clear soon.
Franklin has obviously been somebody's pet at one time. He LOVES being around humans and other dogs - he probably would not do well as an only pet. He is a very sweet little guy who just wants to have a human to love. His favorite thing is to curl up on a lap and snuggle. He is a true lap dog.
| Hillary |
This is Hillary. She is a sweet black female who is 13 years old. She is an owner surrender along with her sister Asia due to family changes. She has already been spayed and is current on her vaccinations. She is heartworm negative and is in incredibly good health given her age. She does have a little bit of hearing and vision loss but nothing unusual for a senior lady.
Hillary has lived in a house all her life so she is definitely housebroken and even knows house to use a doggie door. She is used to living with another dog and is currently in foster with several, so she would do just fine in a multi-pug home. She is a sweet girl who is just looking for the perfect "retirement" home to live out her golden years.
| Izzy |
Izzy is a sweet fawn female. She is 2 years old. She comes to us as an owner surrender. Izzy has some severe medical issues and is currently on a medical hold until more can be known. Izzy has been seen by a neurologist who has ruled out a head injury, though due to her symptoms that was our first belief. She has difficulty walking and it appears her vision and hearing may also be affected. We have been advised that her symptoms are suggestive of hydrocephalus (water on the brain). This is highly unusual in an adult dog and we are proceeding with caution regarding her care and treatment.
We will update our information here as soon as more is known.
| Jason |
Jason is a handsome black male with light brown eyes. He is 1 1/2 years old. He was an owner surrender to a local animal control through no fault of his own. He has been brought up to date on his vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. He is heartworm negative and is in excellent health.
Jason is a seet little guy who is a bit confused about his recent turn of events. However, he is well behaved and amiable. He's a little cutie who is very sweet and cuddly. He gets along beautifully with other dogs and would do well in a multi-dog household or as an only dog. The most important thing to Jason is to have a human that wants to cuddle and snuggle with him, as he loves being held.
| Lady |
Lady is a sweet fawn female. She was found wandering the streets by a Good Samaritan. She had no tags or collars and it was pretty evident that nobody had been taking care of her for quite a while. We estimate she is about 5-6 years old. She does not appear to have been spayed, so that will need to be done prior to placement. She has been brought current on her vaccinations and microchipped. She appears to have "dry eye" which is so common in pugs which have been living outdoors. She is also currently suffering from a case of demodectic mange (non-contagious) as well as a bad yeast infection on her skin. These will clear with time and treatment.
Lady is an appropriate name for this little girl. She has an air of serenity and elegance about her. Even in her bedraggled state, she appears like a prim and proper little lady who should really be wearing a pearl necklace or a lacy dress. She is a lover - she loves to cuddle and be held. In no time at all Lady will look as beautiful as she should and she will need a home where she will be pampered and loved.
| Lola |
Say hello to Lola. She is a pretty fawn female who is 7 years old. She is an owner surrender due to family changes. She has been spayed, microchipped and is current on her vaccinations. She is in excellent health, though she could stand to lose a little weight for summer.
Lola is a sweet girl who loves human attention. She gets on well with other dogs as long as she is "top dog" of the family. Though she is used to living with another dog, she may do well as a spoiled only dog. She has a fantastic personality and is a real charmer.
| Milo_2 |
Milo is a sweet fawn male. He is 10 years old. He was an owner surrender due to a family move. He is in good health. He is current on his vaccinations, microchipped and has just been neutered.
Milo is a very confused little guy right now as he had been with his previous owner since he was a puppy. He’s a sweet fellow who gets on well with other dogs of all sizes and even gets on well with children. He’s never lived with cats. This little guy loves nothing better than being held and cuddled. If you’re looking for a lap warmer then look no further – this sweetheart may be just the companion you’ve been looking for!
| Odie |
Odie is a beautiful black male. He is an owner surrender due to family changes. He is 7 years old. He has been neutered, microchipped and is current on all of his vaccinations. He is heartworm negative. He is in excellent health except for being a bit overweight. He is now on a diet to help him lose that extra weight before the summer heat comes.
Odie is a very sweet, loving boy. He is very laid back and gets along very well with other dogs. And how can you not love that face!!! All he really wants out of life is a human to give him belly rubbings. Maybe you could be that lucky human!
| Patsy |
Patsy is a lovely fawn female who is about 14 years old. She is an owner surrender as her owner could no longer care for her. She walks with a limp to her front leg but that does not keep her from getting around wherever she wants. She has been spayed, microchipped and is current on her vaccinations.
Patsy is a very social girl who likes to be with someone at all times. She MUST sleep next to her person at night, so no doggie bed for this lady. She also gets on well with other dogs. She is also very vocal, very talkative. If only we knew what she was saying! Patsy is housebroken and loves the freedom of using a doggie door.
UPDATE: Unfortunately we've had some bad news for Patsy. She has just been diagnosed with mast cell tumors. She is receiving appropriate medications. However, given her age we will not be pursuing aggressive treatment. Patsy is on medical hold and is no longer available for adoption. We would appreciate any donations to help cover the costs of her medical care.
| Ralphie |
Ralphie is an adorable fawn Puggle. He is an owner surrender. He is a youngster - he's only about 9 months old so he is still very much a puppy. That means he has lots of energy and still needs some training, although he is already housebroken. He has already been neutered, microchipped and is current on all of his vaccinations. He is in excellent health.
Ralphie is a little bit unsure about where he is and who everyone is when he first meets people, but he seems to be a very friendly guy who will adapt well in his new environment. As he is still a pup, he is very playful and happy. He does very well with other dogs and also is very good with children. He's a sweet pup who will be a wonderful addition for some lucky family.
| Ranger |
Ranger is a friendly fawn male. He was found wandering the streets so nobody knows his story. We do know he is between 2 to 3 years old and seems to be in good health. We have brought him current on his vaccinations and microchipped him. He is not neutered but will be prior to placement.
We believe he has been somebody's pet at one time, because is seems housebroken and knows how to use a doggie door. He occasionally marks but that should be correctable once he is neutered. He is a very friendly, playful guy who does very well with children. He also enjoys playing with other dogs but might be a bit too much for a house with older pets. He would do best in a home with other playful dogs and/or kids who want a playmate.
| Riley_2 |
Riley is a sweet fawn male. His fur actually has quite a reddish tint to it making him look like a proper Irish gentleman; and that is how he got his name! He came to us from animal control, so nothing is known about his past life. It's pretty evident that he's been living on the streets for a while though. His skin is not in the best of shape - our vet thinks it's a flea allergy. We estimate he is about 8 years old. He has some old hip injury that shows up on x-ray, but he runs around just fine.
Riley is a little timid when first meeting people, but he warms up quickly. He even gives sweet little puggie kisses! And if things aren't perfect, he has quite a howl on him! He must have been someone's pet at one time because he is housetrained and seems to have very good house manners. He gets on well with other dogs. This little guy is a darling boy who just needs someone to give him some TLC and a loving home.
| Sammi |
Sammi is a beautiful fawn female. She is estimated to be between 1 - 2 years old. This poor little girl has had a pretty rough start to life. She was purchased by a family who used her for breeding. Sadly, she lost all of her puppies. So then her owners decided they didn't really want her after all and dumped her outside to fend for herself. Thankfully some kind people in the neighbourhood decided to take her in and find her a home. That's when we were called.
Sammi has been brought up to date on her vaccinations and microchipped. She has not been spayed yet but will be prior to placement. Since Sammi hasn't been well looked after, she has tested positive for heartworms. She will begin treatment immediately.
Sammi is such a sweet little girl and it breaks our hearts that she hasn't had the carefree, pampered life that she deserves. She has a wonderful personality and loves people. It's amazing that though she hasn't been treated well she is still very hopeful and trusting. With a little luck and a lot of care and attention we are hoping to have this girl healthy enough for her new life soon.
| Samson |
Samson is a 10 year old fawn male. He was an owner surrender due to his medical condition. Poor little Samson has not been looked after very well and is currently suffering from some serious medical issues. Samson has pneumonia and Congestive Heart Failure which have been left untreated thus far. He also has old ulcers on both of his eyes. His left eye seems to be healing without difficulty but his right eyes appears to have recently ruptured. He also has some difficulty standing and walking. We had thought that it might be due to an ear infection, but after consulting with a neurologist we now know that he has some brain stem disease, probably a tumor. Once Samson's pneumonia is cleared we will get an MRI to determine what to do next.
Samson is a sick little puggie. But we are getting him the best medical treatment possible and are hopeful for his recovery. We are greatly encouraged by his spirit. This little guy has not given up and we are committed to helping him through this fight. The love and affection he has shown us tells us that he knows we are helping him and that he appreciates our help. Right now Samson is on medical hold and cannot be considered for adoption. We would appreciate any donations towards his ongoing medical care.
| Sara |
Sara came to us from animal control after being surrendered by her owner. She is a sweet fawn female, around 11 years old. She is microchipped, spayed and current on her vaccinations.
Unfortunately she is suffering from some medical issues and therefore her prior owner gave up on her. After meeting her you will agree that she is a very sweet, special girl who deserves some TLC and a new owner who isn't afraid to become her hero.
She has severe vision loss and receives daily drops to keep her eyes clean. Despite the vision loss, once she knows her way around the house she does extremely well. She is a bit hard of hearing. She is also suffering from a lung condition for which she receives Lasix.
She is housebroken and very affectionate. She is a very sweet girl who would do well in a home where someone is around a lot to give her cuddles and TLC.
| Victor |
Victor is a cute 2 year old fawn male. He came to us from a local animal control shelter. We don't anything about his history other than he was found wandering the streets without any tags or microchip. He has been brought current on medications and microchipped. He will be neutered prior to placement.
Right now this little guy has a couple of medical issues which need to be sorted out. He is moderately heartworm positive and has a bad case of hookworms. He has started treatment for that. He is in otherwise good health with no permanent disabilities. Once his hookworms have been cleared and he is started on heartworm treatment he will be ready for his new home and new adventures.
| Whitney |
Whitney is a 5 year old fawn female recent rescued from a puppy mill. As poor Whitney has been kept in a cage her entire life, she is very scared when removed from a crate or kennel. As is common with puppy mill dogs, her first reaction is to flatten herself to the ground from fear - as though she is afraid she will be punished for being free. Thankfully, she is adjusting to being free and has learned to trust her foster Mom. She appears happy and relaxed when in her care.
This poor girl has not had an easy life and her body bears the proof. She had an old injury to her right eye which necessitated the removal of it before it ruptured. On her left rear leg she had what we had thought was an abscess. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a massive tumor. She has been diagnosed with advanced stage Cancer which has spread to her lymph nodes and bones. She is on conservative steroid therapy. Whitney is now in Hospice care with her foster Mom. We would gratefully accept any donations to help cover her medical expenses and make her final days as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
| Wrinkles |
Wrinkles is a lovely fawn male. He is 8 years old. He was an owner surrender through no fault of his own. He has been brought current on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. He is heartworm negative and has been started on preventative. He is in excellent health except for having a "dry" eye. He gets daily ointment for that but otherwise is on no medications.
Wrinkles is one very friendly, happy guy. He acts more like a 3-4 year old and has lots of energy. He loves to play and meet people. He gets on very well with other animals and would do well in a home with other dogs.
