| Abby |
Abby is a 3 year old female.
We will post a full bio once Abby has settled into her foster home.
| Abigail |
Abigail is a fawn female. We estimate she is around 3 years old. This poor little girl was found wandering the streets, following a homeless man for companionship. This sweet girl hasn't been cared for by anyone for quite some time. Sadly, she has tested positive for heartworms. She will begin treatment soon. She has been spayed and we've brought her current on her vaccinations.
From Abby's Foster: Abby is very intelligent. She has picked up on her name very quickly and understands many commands, including sitting, lay down and cookie (doggie snack). She is the happiest pug we have seen and loves to play and run. She loves stuff animals and will play fetch. She would do best with a family with children that can play with her. She also loves to sit on laps and give kisses. She is mostly housebroken but does have occasional accidents. She is an alpha dog that can be aggressive to other dogs when they show signs of aggression. Abby has spent her time on the streets and now wants that cozy home and a permanent family that will pamper her.

| Amelia |
Amelia is a fawn female. She was thrown out of a car and a Good Samaritan who witnessed this rescued her and called us to help her. We believe she is about 5 years old. She looks like she has probably been used by a puppy mill. She has been negected as well as overbred. She is severe heartworm positive, suffering from whipworms & hookworms and has a severe skin irritation due to fleas. Despite everything that she has been through she is a sweet, gentle girl who loves to be held and be around people. She is content to be held an cuddled for long periods of time. She is being spayed and will begin heartworm treatment soon. She needs a special home that will show her what the life of a spoiled princess puggy can be like.
From Amelia's Foster: Amelia is so sweet. She loves her humans and must be in constant contact. She loves to have her tummy rubbed. She is also quite playful and plays chase with the other dogs. She gets on well with children and adults alike. She is currently working on being housetrained.
| Annie 2 |
Annie is a fawn female. She is 1 year old. She has been spayed, microchipped and is current on her vaccinations. She does have a scarred right eye which we are monitoring to see if any further medical intervention is needed. She is in excellent health.
From Annie's Foster: Annie is a very energetic, 1 year old, female, fawn. She loves to play and does very well with other dogs, even ones that are twice her size. She is also a very good eater, as most pugs are! When she isn't running around playing, she likes to lay in her bed and chew raw hide bones. She has never displyed any other chewing habits, such as on shoes or anything else laying around. Her foster parents are still working on potty training, but she is already doing a great job! Annie loves people! She is very comfortable approaching new people and will often lay on a strangers lap to be a part of the group. Annie is very affectionate and loves to cuddle on the couch and give lots of kisses. We hardley ever hear her bark, and if she does it's at excitement to see us come home. Annie would make a great pet for anyone who has another small pet at home that likes to play.
| Audrey |
Audrey is a beautiful fawn female. Unfortunately she is heartworm positive and will be starting treatment soon. She is housebroken and gets on well with other dogs. Her foster Mom describes her as a "cuddler and a lover."
From Audrey's foster: There are not words to describe how beautiful, sweet and gentle Audrey is. She was aptly named, she could put on a pearl necklace and be Audrey Hepburn’s pampered pet in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. She acts like royalty. She will sit on my lap as long as I will sit still. Then she’s right on the couch when I sit back down waiting for me to cuddle her again. She is the perfect Pug! She is housetrained and she has never done anything wrong. She wasn’t sure about the eye drops at first but now she is fine with it. She LOVES to sleep in the bed! As you can probably tell, Audrey has stolen my heart and all it will take is one look from her beautiful eyes and she will steal yours also!
| Bella 3 |
Bella is a fawn female who we estimate to be 5 or 6 years old. She has been brought current on his vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. She is in good health.
From Bella's foster: It is apparent that she had been previously cared for as she is in good health (heart worm negative) and well groomed. Most of the time she is all lady. However, she can be ill-tempered to the other male dogs in the house. She is house broken. She loves to sit by your side or on your lap, and follow her foster parents around. She knows how to play with toys, but is learning how to play with other dogs. She can be somewhat aggressive when playing with people. She play bites but does not hurt you, and she growls and shows her teeth when playing, which we think is her way of playing. We would not recommend her for a family with young children. She has tended to show more affection to her male foster parent. She would be especially good for a single dog home.
| Belle |
Belle is an 8 year old fawn female. She is 8 years old. She is an owner surrender due to family changes. She has been spayed, microchipped and is current on vaccinations. She is heartworm negative. She is in very good shape but does suffer from 'dry eye' that is so common in pugs and therefore needs daily drops to her eyes. She does have vision loss due to this condition.
Belle is a sweet girl that is used to living with children. She also gets on very well with other dogs.
From Belle's foster: Belle has finally got to the point that she fully trust us. We believe that she had a hard time with all the changes in her life, she really did not feel comfortable about pushing the envelope. Now, she is in charge of our house and dictates policy around here. She went to the vet last Saturday and she is in good health and she is current with all her shots and treatments. We have let her gain a few pounds, so we are in the process of cutting back on her two meals and treats. She weights 25 pounds and the vet wants her back around 20 pounds. She is not happy about the reduction in her treats after her comes in from using the bathroom.
| Bentley |
| Bentley is a 10 year old fawn male. He is an owner surrender. He is moderately heartworm positive and has begun conservative treatment. He is current on his vaccinations and has been neutered. | |
| Blu |
Say hello to Blu. He is an 8 year old fawn male. This cutie came to us from a local shelter, so we do not know his history. However, we do know that nobody has been looking after him. He has bad hips and degenerative discs in his spine, though that does not slow him down. He has poor vision and a severe entropion eyelid (which can be corrected with surgery.) He has been neutered, microchipped and brought up to date on his vaccinations as well as having some dental work.
UPDATE from Blu's foster Mom:
Blu- A charmer, a jazz singer and a poet - what more can you ask for in a senior pug man ? He enjoys outdoors for very short periods and spends most of his time dreaming about .... what do pugs dream about? A chunk a pug ( ok he eats anything that looks edible) - he is currently watching exercise cable TV hoping that he gets in shape by osmosis. IF it works we will let you know................
| |
| Brittany |
Brittany is a fawn female. She comes to us from a local shelter so we don't know her history. We estimate she is between 3 to 4 years old. She has one "bad" eye and one "good" eye. She is a sweet little lady.
We will post a full biography for her once she has settled into her foster home.
| Buddha |
Buddha is a sweet fawn male. He came to us from a local shelter. We estimate he is about 8 years old. He is heartworm negative and has been neutered. He is current on his vaccinations and microchipped. He is also housetrained and goes to the back door when he needs outside.
From Buddha's Foster: Buddha has fit in perfectly around here. He is my shadow when I am home, can always be found at my feet. We have been walking in the neighborhood each evening and Buddha rather enjoys this. We have done up to a mile depending on the temperature outside and he does quite well. I think he would do well as part of a group or an only pet. He will play if played with but rarely initiates the playing. You know I think that anyone who can put up with my dog is a saint! He is a very calm gentleman that loves to be close to his human. He also seems to enjoy laying out on the deck "sunning" for brief periods.
| Caesar |
| Caesar is a female male. He is 2 years old. He is a small boy - he only weighs 12 lbs. He is being neutered and brought current on his vaccinations. He is heartworm negative. | |
| China |
China is a sweet fawn female. She is 10 years old. She was an owner surrender through no fault of her own. Though her eyesight is severely limited, she does appear to see shapes and light.
China has come a long way in the year we've had her. Now an 11 year old beauty - she enjoys her days taking naps, strolls around the yard in the sun, and more naps. Even though she has very little vision & hearing - it doesn't stop her from enjoying a sunny day or a good belly rub. She knows her way around the house and yard, and she will certainly let you know when she wants something! She's the Queen of our Pug Palace! Thanks to PugHearts, China is getting loved like she's always deserved to be!
| Clyde |
| Clyde is a fawn male. He is 9 years old. He was apparently used for breeding, so he has not known what is means to be somebody's pet. As he has not been cared for properly he has tested heartworm positive. He will begin treatment shortly. He has now been neutered, microchipped and brought current on his vaccinations. He is a sweet little guy who gets on well with other dogs and is not dominant. We are looking forward to helping him find that perfect family for him to live out the rest of his days as a pampered pet. | |
| Coal |
| Coal is a 7 year old black male. He is an owner surrender with his bonded "sister" Lilly. | |
| Colonel |
Colonel is a fawn male. He is 5 1/2 years old.
We will post a full bio once he has settled into his foster home.
| Dottie |
Dot is the matron of the house. She is bossy and will yell at the younger or new fosters that join our house. Dottie is blind, but still manages to chase the new fosters around the yard for a few hours. She is Daddy's girl and loves for him to come home and rub her face. She will reach for him hand and nuzzle her face against him until her rubs on her again. This can go on for hours. We do not have an exact age for Dottie, she is somewhere between 13-16 years old. She came to us from a local shelter where she was taken by her owner. She was blind, skinny and scared the day we took her out of there. She was no bigger than a dot, hence the name. Dottie has been with us for more than a year. She is a happy loving girl looking for a place to be loved for the remainder of her life.
| |
| Gene |
Gene is a fawn male. He is 2 years old. He is heartworm negative. He has been neutered, microchipped and brought current on his vaccinations. He is in good health. Gene is a happy, high energy guy. He loves to play chase and if nobody will chase him he will chase his own tail!
From Gene's foster: Gene is a bundle of energy! He enjoys running around outside, playing fetch with the ball, and being chased around by the other dogs. He gets along well with everyone here, and would do fine in a household with an Alpha dog since he is more of a follower than a leader! Gene has no problem being vocal, and telling you when he wants something. I'm sure pretty soon he is going to actually say a complete sentence! When he's not playing, Gene wants to be a lap dog, and will curl up just right to fit on your lap. He is definitely a lover not a fighter, with a tongue that is a mile long and wants to kiss you constantly! He uses the doggy door with no problems, and has never had an accident in the house! We are working now on basic commands, and when he's not too excited, he seems to be picking up on them pretty fast. Gene is a wonderful dog, always wanting to please, and will make an outstanding pet for someone wanting an energetic dog!!!!!

| Gherkin |
Do you remember our "Pickle" pug imposter? Well, here's our latest "Gherkin!"
We were asked to take in a stray "pug" but when we picked him up we could obviously tell he was no pug. However, he needed us so we took him in. We think he is a poodle/terrier mix. His is a little guy. Unfortunately he is severe heartworm positive so he will begin treatment shortly. He will also be neutered. He has been brought current on his vaccinations and microchipped. He's a really sweet boy who just loves attention.
| Gizmo |
Gizmo is a fawn male. He is about 6 years old and comes to us as an owner surrender through no fault of his own. He has been neutered, microchipped and is current on his vaccinations. He is in good health.
Gizmo is very used to being somebody's pet. He is housebroken and gets along well with other dogs. He is in foster care with a cat that he ignores, so he would do well in a home with a cat. He also does well around his foster family's baby. He is a big guy who likes to lay around while enjoying a belly rub!
| Gladys |
Gladys is a black female. She is 9 years old. She has been spayed, microchipped and brought current on her vaccinations.
From Gladys' foster: Gladys is sure a sweet girl. She had been left outside so she is trying heal up from scabs on her skin and what looks like bug bites on her ears. But she has been treated and seems to be healing up just fine. She is an extremely well behaved lady. Gladys was very well fed in her past life so she definitely needs to shed a few pounds. She is house broken and I have yet to hear her bark. She isn't big on playing but likes to be in the couch potatao group and just hang out and be petted. She wants to be held but doesn't quite understand how it works yet, she'll stand on my lap but when I try to have her lay down she's not sure what to do. I think with just a little more attention she will turn into quite a cuddle bug! She is a very loving girl who hasn't received much of it in the past. She just needs someone to take her into their hearts and give her the loving home that she has deserved for years and never had!
| Gracie 2 |
Gracie is a fawn female. She is 3 years old and comes to us from an animal control shelter. She has been brought up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped and spayed.
She had also been suffering from multiple bladder stones which were surgically removed. This should not cause any further problems and the stones can be prevented by a special low Magnesium dog food which is available at any pet store. She is now in excellent health and ready for a new home. She's a very sweet girl who gets on well with other dogs. All she needs now is a special someone to promise to look after her and give her lots of love.
| Guyla |
Guyla is a gorgeous fawn female. She is 3 years old. She is heartworm negative and in excellent health. She has been spayed, microchipped and is current on her vaccinations. She is a bit timid at first, but playful and funny when she learns to trust.
From Guyla's foster: Guyla is an absolutely adorable puppy. Although she's full-grown, she's half the size and twice the energy of any other pug we've had in our home. She wants nothing more than to run, chase, wrestle, and explore. She's also quite vocal, with a louder bark than you'd expect out of such a little
bit! She's a terror to cats, and is always trying to get the rest of our pack to play. She instinctively defers to our Alpha bitch, but anyone else is fair game. She's always ready with lots of kisses, and if no one wants to play, there's always her tail to chase. She's content to snuggle when she's worn out, which takes a lot! This one needs training, discipline and impulse control, but she's already bonding well with the human members of her pack. She's smart and learning rapidly. If you have the patience, this one will bring you endless joy, laughter and entertainment.

| Hazel |
Hazel is a fawn female. She is 7 years old.
We will post a full biography once she has settled in.
| Heidi 2 |
Heidi is a fawn female. She is heartworm positive and is presently undergoing treatment. She has been brought current on her vaccinations, microchipped and spayed.
From Heidi's foster: Heidi is a very sweet little girl. She is a very small Pug (12 pounds)and has a very pretty and soft coat. She is also a talker, she doesn't bark but she kind of howls. Cindy named her Heidi because she sounds like she's yodeling. She is also housetrained. She loves to be around her human at all times. When she was confined to a crate after her HW treatment if I went into another room she was very vocal with her distress but only until I returned to the room and she could see me. She very seldom makes a sound when she's with someone. I don't believe that she was held much in her prior life, she loves to be beside me and is just beginning to be more comfortable sitting on my lap. She loves to lay back on my arm and have her belly rubbed. She also really listens to me when I talk to her as you can see by the picture. She will cock her head back and forth and look like she's going to answer me. She is a great little girl and anyone will be very lucky to have her in their home forever!

| Hercules |
| Hercules is a 7 year old fawn male. He comes to us from a local shelter so his history is unknown. He is severe heartworm positive and will begin treatment immediately. He has been brought current on his vaccinations and microchipped. He has been neutered. | |
| Hillary |
| Hillary is a 13-14 yr old female. She prefers to sleep in the bed and receive the majority of your time. Hillary has mast cell cancer, but is doing well medically. She has some CHF and aging issues and is on medication for her heart and arthritis. Hillary is a sweet gently lady. She is housebroken and does well with the other dogs in the house. She sleeps in the bed and loves to snuggle with her people. She gives gentle, sweet kisses and enjoys long movies. (The longer you stay still, the happier Hillary is.) | |
| Ike |
| Ike is a 5 year old fawn male. He was found in the aftermath of the hurricane, having weathered the storm by himself in a park. He was understandably very frightened when we first picked him up but he has relaxed quite a bit and seems happy. He is a quiet boy though. He does not really play and prefers to sit with her person and watch the world go by. He is mildly heartworm positive and has begun conservative treatment. He is in otherwise good health. He has been neutered, microchipped and is current on his vaccinations. | |
| Izzy |
Izzy is a sweet fawn female. She is 2 years old. She comes to us as an owner surrender due to her medical condition. Izzy has been seen by a neurologist who has determined that she is suffering from hydrocephalus (water on the brain.) This means that she has a build-up of cerebrospinal fluid around her brain. This is usually only seen in puppies but Izzy developed this within the last year. It has affected her walking but she still gets around well. As her symptoms have not progressed and her condition has stabilized, no further treatment is necessary. She will need to be monitored for changes and if any occur she should be seen by the neurologist.
Izzy is a very sweet girl. She comes to you for affection; she puts her nose on you to let you know she wants attention. She navigates around her foster house and yard well but does not do too well with steps. She sleeps up on the human bed but needs to be put up and down. She still has some tics - expecially when eating, and takes time to process things. She comes when called but just takes a little longer. She does not tolerate loud noises well. She seems to enjoy being around other dogs and sleeps with them.
Special Notes
Izzy suffers from hydrocephalus and will need special monitoring.
| Jackson |
Jackson is a handsome fawn male with unique pale green eyes. He is 2 years old. He comes to us from a local shelter where his owner left him. He is moderately heartworm positive and will begin treatment shortly. He has been neutered, microchipped and brought current on his vaccinations.
From Jackson's foster: Jackson may not look like your typical fawn Pug but he sure has the personality, charisma and energy of one! He has the most unusual coloring we have ever seen, it's just beautiful. His mask has an auburn tone to it and along with his green eyes he's quite the handsome gentleman! I love to just sit and look at him. He is also very sweet. He likes to lay on the couch next to me but he also likes to play, he's a good mixture of both. Jackson's a small little guy and is quite huggable, and he is very good at giving Puggie kisses. He's not much of a barker. He has marking issues and we're working on that. Since he's been neutered he seems to be getting better. He gets along with all his other Pug brothers and sisters so would do well in a home with other pets. He would also do well in a home where he gets all the attention (he'll take as much as I can give him.) Where ever he lives he will certainly be a beautiful addition to the family!
| |
| Joe |
Joe is a fawn male. He comes to us from a local shelter. We estimate he is about 4 years old. He wll be neutered and brought curren ton his vaccinations.
We will post a full biography for him once he settles in.
| Joey 2 |
Joey is a 9 year old black male. He looks like he may have some Boston in him, as he is a big fella and his tail is fairly straight. He is an owner surrender with his sister Suki. They are very bonded and need to stay together. Joey considers himself Suki's keeper and watches over her constantly. He even waits to eat his dinner until she has been served! They are very sweet together. Joey is in good health and has been neutered.
Joey is very playful and talkative. He loves his toys and will play fetch. He is housetrained and obeys commands. He does love to cuddle and give kisses, though he doesn't like being held too much. He and Suki both get on well with other animals including cats.
| Josie |
| Josie is a 6 year old fawn female. She comes to us from a local animal shelter and it is believed that this poor little girl was a puppy mill survivor. She how now been spayed, microchipped and brought up to date on her vaccinations. Thankfully she is heartworm negative. She does have degenerative hip disease, which means her hips are weak. She would be ideally suited to a home with no stairs or with a family that doesn't mind carrying her up and down. She's a sweet girl that deserves to find out what it's like to be somebody's cherished pet. | |
| Kessie |
Kessie is a 3 year old female.
We will post a full bio for her once she has settled into her foster home.
| Kibby |
| Kibby is a fawn female. She is 4 years old. She is heartworm negative and in good health except for her skin. She has been covered in fleas and on a poor diet so her skin isn't in very good shape right now. But that will change now that her fleas are gone and she's eating proper food. She seems a little timid and scared with strangers right now but she is a sweet little girl. | |
| Lacey |
Lacey is an adorable fawn female who came to us from a local shelter after somebody left her and her "sister" Lisa at their door one night. We do know that she had her right eye removed some time ago. We also know that Lacey and Lisa are extremely bonded pair and need to stay together.
Lacey has tested positive for heartworms and will begin treatment immediately. She has been brought up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and spayed.
From Lacey & Lisa's foster: Lisa & Lacey truly are a bonded pair. They are always together. They are either cuddling together, sleeping together, cleaning each others faces, or playing together. It is so precious to watch the two of them. We aren't 100% sure of their history, but whatever it was must have included some not so nice humans. They are still very cautious of humans and still often cower and run when you reach down to pick them up. They are learning to trust us though. When I sit with them, they both will come up and give me double team pug kisses! Lacey seems to be more social than Lisa, although Lisa has made a lot of progress since we've had them. They are learning what toys are finally! We are still working on the potty training, but they are getting a little better each day. They get along well with other dogs - they don't have the same trust issues with them as they do humans. In fact, I often find them grooming my own dogs - one on each side! Lisa & Lacey would do great in a quiet environment with patient humans who will help them learn that not all humans hurt.

| Lil Nicky |
Lil Nicky is a fawn male. He is 8 years old. He is an owner surrender due to foreclosure. He has been neutered, microchipped and is current on his vaccinations. He is housebroken, happy and looking for a great family to love him. He is currently on a diet and geting some exercise.
From his Foster: Little Nicky is a love sponge. The more you give, the more he soaks up. He thinks he is an alpha male, but he backs down the second another pug stands up to him. He has some separation issues, but they are not too bad. He does not like it when anyone leaves the house and will try to grab your pants leg (or your leg) as you walk through the door. He barks and woo woos for a bit after you leave. Stainless steel bowls are not his favorite and he is learning that kibble is better than being hungry. There is quite a lot to love about Nicky, so he is on a diet of half kibble, half green beans. He LOOOOVES green beans and should soon be a svelte, easy breathing guy. He is full of energy and loves to take short walks, but he also enjoys couch time. He marked when he first came here, but a belly band is doing the trick for Nick. He would do well in a house with a strong alpha female to keep him in line.
| |
| Lilly |
| Lilly is a 12 year old black female. She is an owner surrender with her bonded "brother" Coal. | |
| Lisa |
Lisa is a sweet fawn female who came to us from a local shelter after somebody left her and her "sister" Lacey at their door. Lacey and Lisa are extremely bonded pair and need to stay together. Lisa has obviously had her left eye removed some time ago and it does not cause her any issue now. She has tested positive for heartworms and will begin treatment soon.
| Mae |
Mae is a fawn female. She is 8 years old. She is heartworm positive and will begin treatment shortly. She has been spayed, microchipped and brought current on her vaccinations.
From Mae's foster: Meet Mae. Mae is a sweet 8 year old lady. She is a little girl who loves to be held. She gets along with other dogs and cats as well. Mae is very submissive and often shy, so she would likely do well in a home with fewer dogs. She has wonderful house manners and loves to play with her stuffed monkey or chew on a bone. Mostly though, she likes to just relax and be loved by her human! Mae is heartworm positive and will begin treatment in within the next few weeks. Once that has finished, she will be ready to become the princess of your family!

| Molly 3 |
| Molly is a fawn female. She is 3 years old. Poor Molly has not had an easy life so far. She is severe heartworm positive. She also has hookworm and whipworms. She has recently had puppies but now that we have her she has been spayed. We are treating the intestinal worms and she will begin heartworm treatment immediately. | |
| Napoleon |
Napoleon is an 8 year old fawn female. He is an owner surrender through no fault of his own. He is heartworm negative and appears healthy. He does have a bit of dry eye but nothing that couldn't be treated with daily moisturizing drops. He is already neutered and up to date on his vaccinations.
From Napoleon's foster: like to introduce you to Mr. Napoleon. He is about 8 years old and one of the sweetest gentlemen we've seen come through PugHearts. He has perfect house manners and loves other people and other dogs. He is spunky, a bit of a clown and has the perfect energy level! We believe that he has a "belly button"..meaning you touch the right spot on his back and he rolls over immediately for a belly rub! Napoleon does have dry eye, so will require eye drops, but other than that, he is healthy! I can not say enough how wonderful this guy is. If you are looking for an easy going guy to add to your home - Napoleon is the guy for you! He is quickly making fans of all who meet him!
| Nicholas |
Nicholas is a fawn male. We estimate he is between 4 to 6 years old. He comes to us from a local animal control facility. Poor Nicholas came to us suffering from an advanced case of sarcoptic mange. He also was also severely malnourished and moderately heartworm positive. His left eye also appears to have an old injury and both eyes are dry, though he definitely still has vision. He has some limitation in dark areas but overall sees fairly well. He has completed his heartworm treatment and is a healthy happy guys. His skin has cleared and his coat has filled back in beautifully.
Nicholas loves to sleep on the bed...attached to his person. He has learned to play and will romp in the yard with the other pugs. He is excited about life in general and love and attention specifically. Nicholas would love to be in a family with children and other dogs.
| Olivia |
Olivia ia a fawn female. She is 7 years old. She has been spayed, microchipped and brought current on her vaccinations.
From Olivia's foster: Olivia is a big sweetie! She has an endearing personality. Olivia wants nothing more than to be near any family member, which includes another dog and cat. At first she was not sure what the cat was, but now they are close buddies. If you reach down to give her a little love she instantly lays on her back and wants her belly rubbed. Olivia is very smart and disciplined. You only need to tell her once and she listens. So far we have picked up on that she knows “stay” and “down” which is not used a lot due to her loyalty to please. She enjoys getting her mid-day sun and when she is ready she heads for the door. She is content to snuggle or lay on your feet; however her favorite place is the middle sofa cushion. Olivia will bring companionship, joy and love. Olivia is great with other animals and rarely barks unless she feels the need to protect. I might add it is a very polite bark.
| Ozzy |
Ozzy is a 3 year old fawn male. He is severe HW+ and will be starting treatment immediately. He has been brought current on his vaccinations and microchipped. He is housetrained but does occasionally mark, which we will be working on now that he has been neutered.
Ozzy is a very playful guy who loves his Kong and chasing a ball. He is looking for an active house that will allow him to be the hyperactive boy he desires. Young children to play with are a real plus.
| Patsy |
| Patsy is somewhere between 14 and 17 yrs old. She is a talker and will scream until she gets what she wants, usually your total attention. She sleeps in the bed and prefers to sleep at the foot of the bed so that she can monitor what is going on. She has had a few mast cell cancers develop, but has had no issues in the last several months. She loves her Daddy and will follow him everywhere he goes. Patsy is a great companion and is looking for a comfortable place to live out her life. | |
| Pearl |
Pearl is a sweet fawn female. She is 13 years old and an absolute doll. She is an owner surrender through no fault of her own. She is heartworm negative. She is current on her vaccinations, microchipped and spayed. She is in excellent health but is deaf. She has a mass on her right rear leg that will be removed soon which does not affect her gait at all. While no Pug should be an outside dog, Pearl is especially intolerent of the heat and cannot be outside this time of year for very long.
Pearl is described by her foster as a 'little shadow.' She loves to be near her human and will follow you around. She loves to snuggle her person in bed at night. She is used to being an only dog and would do well by herself or with a submissive companion.
| Pearl 2 |
Pearl is a 7 yr old owner surrender. She has been spayed and is current on her vaccinations. She is a small girl weighing right at 12 lbs. She has no ideas she is this small and thinks she should be referred to by everyone as Princess Pearl. She is a bit timid of people and will cower if you reach for her too fast. She came to us severe heartworm + but has now completed her treatment and is ready for her new home.
Pearl is an alpha female that would do best receiving a TON of attention from her person. She is a bed sleeper and loves to cuddle. When she wags her tail, her whole body wags. Pearl is looking for a forever home that will treat her like the princess she is.
| Phil |
Phil is a sweet fawn male. He came to us from a local shelter, so not much is known about him. We estimate he is between 8 to 10 years old. He has been brought current on his vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. He does have 'dry eye' that is so common in pugs. Due to this he has suffered some vision loss. He is on medicated drops and will need those daily for the rest of his life. Otherwise he is in very good health with no further issues.
UPDATE from Phil's foster Mom: Dr. Phil - True to his namesake DR Phil is a handsome gent who aspires to have his own talk show. He is a loyal fellow who would gladly guard hearth and home with his mighty little bark and his keen wit. In between his rehearsing he likes nothing more than a soft toy, a kind word and a soft lap to snuggle. He actually may just have the perfect puggie tail with just the right little twist. He has it all- personality, charm, loyalty and an analytical side should you need a kind soul to talk to - making him a lot of personality in a compact package. He is not fond of cats ( he knows what they are thinking) but might consider them on a bun with horse radish- just kidding - he barks and they saunter away.
| Ralphie |
Ralphie is a 10 year old fawn male. He is heartworm negative and has been neutered. He is current on all of his vaccinations and microchipped. He is deaf but can see pretty well. He does have some stiff joints probably related to arthritis. All in all he is in good health for a senior.
Ralphie is a sweet, gentle boy. He is housetrained. He does very well around other dogs and cats. He's probably not used to being around kids as he "ignores" children. Not really playful but that's to be expected in a senior guy. This little guy loves to cuddle or just be near his humans. He can also be vocal, trying to "talk" to his human. He loves sleeping in a human bed at night but needs help getting up and down. Basically happy and very easygoing, Ralphie just needs someone to love and a lap to lay on.
| Remmy |
| Remmy is a fawn male. He was found wandering the streets and turned over to us by a Good Samaritan. He doesn't look like he's been anybody's pet for a long time, if ever. He is extremely skinny. We estimate is is about 2 years old. He seems to be in good health except for being so malnourished. He is a very active, excited little guy who loves people. We have brought him up to date on his vaccinations and he has now been neutered. All he needs now is some great family to teach him what treats are! | |
| Rocky 2 |
Rocky is a sweet fawn male. He is 7 years old. He is heartworm positive. He also has arthritis in his back legs and hips along with some poor muscle tone. He gets around fine but won't be winning any races anytime soon. He has some limits to his vision but he definitely has sight. He's a big boy - about 30 pounds - but he's not really overweight.
Rocky was definitely somebody's pet once. He is very well behaved. He is house trained. He's a mellow old guy who loves attention. He will even seek you out. He enjoys people and is very good around children. He also does very well with other animals.
| Roman |
| Roman is a 3 year old fawn male. He is an owner surrender. We're very glad to have him, because he had been living in someone's back yard which is never good for a Pug. As usually happens, this means he is heartworm positive. He will begin treatment shortly. He has been neutered, microchipped and brought current on his vaccinations. | |
| Sara |
Sara came to us from animal control after being surrendered by her owner. She is a sweet fawn female, around 11 years old. She is microchipped, spayed and current on her vaccinations.
Unfortunately she is suffering from some medical issues and therefore her prior owner gave up on her. After meeting her you will agree that she is a very sweet, special girl who deserves some TLC and a new owner who isn't afraid to become her hero.
She has severe vision loss and receives daily drops to keep her eyes clean. Despite the vision loss, once she knows her way around the house she does extremely well. She is a bit hard of hearing. She is also suffering from a lung condition for which she receives Lasix.
She is housebroken and very affectionate. She is a very sweet girl who would do well in a home where someone is around a lot to give her cuddles and TLC.

| Sinatra |
| Sinatra is a cute fawn male. He comes to us from a local shelter so we do not know anything about his history. He is being neutered and brought current on his vaccinations. | |
| Suki |
Suki is a 9 year old black female. She was an owner surrender with her brother Joey. They are extremely bonded and need to remain together. Suki is in good health, though she could stand to lose a little weight. She has been spayed.
Suki is a very sweet, friendly girl. She gives kisses and likes to be cuddled, though she doesn't like to be held very much. She is a very well mannered little lady. She is housetrained and knows basic commands. She loves her brother Joey and looks for him when they are not together. They both get on well with other animals, including cats.
| Torrey |
Torrey is a young female that has been living independently in a neighborhood for about one month. She has been sleeping in the bushes and eating what she could find. We were told about her last night and 2 of our board members went to look for her today. She did a bit of running, but was finally cornered and caught. She has been taken to our vet to be looked over and cleaned up. We will know more soon.
Torrey is now safe and no longer having to fend for herself in the outdoors. It is way too hot for a poor pug to be outside in the heat. She will now be taught how life is supposed to be lived. Spoiled, fed, loved and adored.
| Vinny |
Vinny is a 3 year brindle old boxer mix. He is moderately heartworm positive and will begin treatment shortly.
From Vinny's foster: Meet Vinny. As you can see - there's not much pug, if any, in Vinny. are happy to have him though and to help him find the perfect forever home. We believe Vinny is part boxer and part French bulldog - but I will tell you this - he's a full blooded sweetheart! Vinny is about 3 years old. He is a 40 lb, solid muscle cuddle bug! He is very submissive with other dogs - even though he's bigger than all of our pugs. He is very gentle, so should be good with children. He loves to sit next to you with his head on your lap, or to lie at your feet. He is very smart - he seems to know basic sit, stay and no commands and he is housebroken! As you can see - he is just beautiful too! Vinny is heartworm positive, so he will begin treatment within the coming weeks. He is making fans where ever he goes!

| Walker |
| Walker is a black female. She is 9 years old and comes to us from a backyard breeder. Unfortunately her past life has left her in poor health right now. She is suffering from pyometria. She is undergoing treatment at our vet facility and is making great improvement. We hope to have her healthy enough to go to a foster home soon. | |
| Walter Magoo |
| Mr. Walter Magoo is a fawn male. He was picked up on the streets so we don't know his history. We estimate he is between 10 to 12 years old. He is heartworm negative. He |
